Wings broke in the center joiner area-wasn't a good design as it turns out as we heard of several similar failures. Altho the latter would put a couple of extra pounds-might just save your plane. Just my opinions and experience.It swings a XOAR 22x10 laminated prop at 9700 rpms so It''s a ROCKET. Approximate weight is 18 pounds, so she accelerates on the vertical. I've been flying it nose heavy all this time as I had to mount the LiPos in the firewall and split the cowling to make for easy battery changes. I didn't have the CG info or plans available, but found the CG info here. It's nose heavy, but still flies awesome. I just added some tail weight and will see how she responds. If not because this plane is built for aerobatics you should take it easy on the performance end of it. I also have a ultimate pitts. I am running a magnum 1.80. It is a very good performing aircraft. DougThey are fastened at the front using 2 velcro straps to keep each one from shifting., so that's the farthest in I can push them without losing the ability to secure the batteries. I thought about this layout for about a month and this is all I can come-up with. I did add 4oz of weight in the tail and she can snap better, but she's even more a hand-full for me to land. As far as the covering, the fuse was fiberglassed by the previous owner and I covered all of it with White Monokote. The cowling is spray can painted and am using the RC Booya quick fasteners for helis to do the fastening on the split cowl. I'm not a pro flyer by any means, but enjoy the way she performs up there. I still need to see how she performs near stall speed (up high), but she can do torque rolls hanging on the prop and accelerate out of it with great authority. Currently, I'm getting about 6 to 8 minutes of flight time, depending on how I fly her on the 2x 6s 5800mah LiPos. If I just cruze around, I can probably get up to 10 minutes, but the urge to throw her around is too much for me. Yes!, this is my first post here. Will post again when it is back in the air.Hope you get it fixed soon.I used simular density foam to repair my pitts a long time ago from a mid-air and just cut out the bad stuff and slipped-in the new using 30 minute epoxy, then after it set, I curved the piece to final shape using different grit sandpaper. Then I measure which hole is at the desired CG and hang the plane upside down from it. Worked great. The last contact information we had for Kitty Hawk was. I know have some stuff for the Pitts.I got a couple of Pitts canopies and 2 sets of wheel pants from them. Don't glass the plane. I glassed mine back in December and am not happy with the final weight. I did make it look fabric covered but it adds a ton of weight. I've had 6 Byron Pitts and 5 of them were covered with Econokote and that's the way I'll go again. Even though mine is glassed, I've still got hangar rash and it's not as easy to repair as if it was covered. Mind you, this has been over about 15 years now. The last one I got from Ace Radio Controlled Models in Western Aust. It is one of the originals and still had the serial number in it. It was made in 1979, probably a bit sacriligious(spelling?
) to take it out of the box but I couldn't help myself. To give you an idea, the Econokoted ones weighed in just under 7kgs with motors like a ST3000 (30cc), Quadra 42 (42cc), Zenoah 45 (45cc) and this one is 9kgs with a DZY 48 twin (48cc). One of the Pitts I went a bit crazy on and put a Sachs 4.2 (I think they are 70cc) in it and a smoke system. It weighed a ton at 11 kgs but it flew good, just landed heavily. By struggling I mean it has very little verticle but it does do some wicked stuff. Besides, a super smooth paint finish doesn't look right on a Pitts or any fabric covered airplane although it is a fairly easy maintenance finish. Just my 2 cents worth mate. Storing van een gelijksoortige eenheid die in de buurt werkzaam is: a) U hoeft slechts de batterijen uit de Drukknop-en Deurbeleenheden te halen en dan 10 seconden te wachten, dit zal het geheugen wissen.Druk eenmaal op de Drukknop, welke vervolgens willekeurig een nieuwe gebruikscode zal generen en een draadloos signaal sturen naar de Deurbeleenheid. De Deurbel zal zich laten horen ter bevestiging dat de nieuwe gebruikscode geregistreerd en opgeslagen is. 3. Voor - en achterdeurbel functioneren: a) Haal de batterijen uit de Drukknoppen (voor - en achterdeur) en laat ze voor 10 seconden rusten, reset dan de Deurbelapparaten. Dit zal het geheugen wissen. De Deurbel zal 2 beepjes laten horen om aan te geven dat het gereed is voor de nieuwe code registratie.De Deurbel is in staat om beide functioneringscodes op te slaan en zal alleen met deze functioneren.Uitrusting van het Klokkengelui van de Deur van de draad de V rije SX-56 De batterij van de drukknopunit is dan bijna leeg, de zender kan dan geen verbinding krijgen met de binnenunit. Als van de binnenunit de batterijen er uit en weer ingedaan worden gaat hij op zoek naar de zender en vind hij hem. Door de lage zenderbatterij raakt hij de communicatie weer kwijt totdat er weer van voren af aan gehandeld moet worden.
